JAMESTOWN – In their home opener, University of Jamestown Women’s Soccer blanked Minnesota-Crookston 3-0 on Sunday at Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.

Haley Nelson scored her first goal as a Jimmie, set up by Hillary Hernandez in the 12th minute and Jamestown (4-5-0) led 1-0 at halftime.

Sidney Mikes extended the lead in the 47th minute, taking an Alyssa Caton pass that appeared to be going over the goal line and scoring her second of the season just inside the left post.

Gaby Sarkis’ fourth goal came in the 77th minute.  She hit the left side of the net after a good deke.

Allyson Johnson faced only two shots on net and stopped them both.

Jamestown outshot UM-Crookston 17-5 and 7-2 on goal.
