JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash north of Jamestown on Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred at the intersection of US Highway 52 and 32nd Street SE around 4:42 p.m. when a 2007 Dodge Ram, driven by Robert Aleman, 43, of Mission, Texas, struck a 2020 Hyundai Palisade, driven by Curtis Maki, 69, of Glenview, Illinois.
According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, Aleman disregarded a stop sign while traveling west on 32nd Street SE, colliding with Maki’s vehicle, which was heading south on US Highway 52. The Dodge Ram hit the Hyundai on the front driver side, causing both vehicles to leave the roadway and come to rest in a ditch.
Aleman, Maki, and Maki’s passenger, Cheryl Maki, 65, also of Glenview, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. All three were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. They were transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Jamestown Ambulance for further treatment.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Ambulance, and Stutsman County Rural Fire & Rescue responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
