NEW ROCKFORD- The Carrington Cardinals volleyball team needed a bounce back performance.  And, as it turned out, a rivalry game was the perfect opportunity for exactly that.

Behind a near triple-double from Isabel Wendel (15 assists, 8 kills, and 7 digs), Carrington (4-4, 0-1) rolled to a 25-19, 25-19, 25-15 sweep over New Rockford-Sheyenne (0-4) on Thursday night.

Brynn Smith added nineteen assists and Calleigh Hewitt (8) and Harper Kollman (7) combined for fifteen kills as Carrington only trailed once in the entire match.  Mercedes Lura, Edyn Hornaert, and Kaydence Van Ray combined for fifteen more kills for Carrington.  Kollman added three service aces.
