MINOT – Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Golf finished fifth, its best placing this season so far, Friday at the Minot Invitational at Vardon Golf Course.
Jamestown took fifth with 364. In this qualifying event, three Blue Jays had state qualifying scores: Mylee Michel (88), Aspen Humes (88) and Belle Sjostrom (91). Also for Jamestown, Braelyn Wiese shot 97, Taylor Earnest carded 101 and Brooke Dietrich shot 107.
St. Mary’s won for the third time this season. Emersyn Kopp of Minot North was the medalist with 76, becoming the first Sentinel to be a medalist at a varsity event.
The Blue Jays will remain in Minot for the Minot North Invitational on Saturday.
