VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – 2,977 people lost their lives after the World Trade Center towers collapsed in New York City on September 11th, 2001, of those victims, 412 were first responders including 343 firefighters and 60 police officers.

Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said the annual Red Knights 9-11 tribute ride is Sunday, September 15th. He pointed out this year’s route.

Magnuson said, money raised from the tribute ride goes to families and businesses in the area who lost their property due to a fire.

Assistant Fire Chief Lance Coit is encouraging riders to register for this patriotic ride.

The ride starts at 12pm (Noon) Sunday, September 15th from the Valley City Fire Hall. The cost is $15 per rider which includes a nice supper at the Eagles Club after the ride. The full interview with Lance Coit and Scott Magnuson is below.
