LA CROSSE, WI – Jamestown Jimmies Women’s Volleyball won twice Friday, defeating Judson (IL) in four sets and Viterbo in five at the V-Hawk Fall Invitational.
Jamestown, ninth in the NAIA preseason volleyball poll, improved to 6-0.
Jamestown 3, Judson (IL) 1 (25-18, 23-25, 25-14, 25-22)
Three Jamestown players had at least 11 kills and hit .209 with 58 kills on 163 attempts and just 24 errors.
Aleah Zieske led with 17 kills, followed by Charlee Krieg and Lexi Olson with 11. Lily Bertsch had 23 assists and 13 digs. Tenley Buddenhagen notched 20 assists. Ellie Holen had 22 digs and Zieske had 11. Olson had 11 digs and five assists.
Jamestown 3, Viterbo 2 (23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-12)
Jamestown rallied from two sets down to defeated the 17th-ranked V-Hawks.
Zieske had a career-high 34 kills and 10 digs to lead the Jimmies, who hit .264. Gracie Adamson had 12 kills and Charlotte Lempka hit 11.
Buddenhagen had 34 assists and 10 digs while Bertsch had 32 assists and 13 digs. Holen had 24 digs and Grace Hegerle had 17. Olson had four blocks, one solo.
On Friday, the Jimmies will play Brandon University and Minot State in Minot.
