JAMESTOWN – Almost without exception so far this season, dominating first halves have led to dominating wins by Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Soccer. Both happened again on Thursday.
Iddi Ramadhani scored twice and had two assists as Jamestown scored five goals within the first 35 minutes in a 5-1 win over Minot at Rotary Field.
Ramadhani scored in the seventh and ninth minutes before Ian Lere made the Jays’ lead 3-0 in the 14th minute. Those three goals were all unassisted.
Ramadhani then set up Brady Harty’s goal in the 31st minute for the Blue Jays (7-0-0, 7-0-0 WDA) and a fifth home goal by Jake Anderson in the 34th minute.
Minot (5-2-1, 3-2-1 WDA) prevented the shutout when Dylan Jackson scored just before halftime.
Grant Lunde made three saves.
Jamestown will play next Saturday afternoon at Bismarck Century.
