JAMESTOWN, N.D.(SCHRC) – The Stutsman County Human Rights Coalition (SCHRC) announces the return of the annual Allied Picnic. This year’s event is set for Saturday, September 7th, 2024 at the Sertoma Shelter in McElroy Park.
The Allied Picnic is a community event celebrating the diversity and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in Stutsman County. Families and friends are invited to gather for fun, food, games, music and prizes.
“The Allied Picnic is a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the blend of people and cultures that live in Stutsman County ,” said Mary Eagleson , executive board member for the Stutsman County Human Rights Coalition. “Diverse communities foster ideas, innovation and a strong foundation for the future.”
Stutsman County Human Right Coalition’s purpose is to inspire and engage individuals and the community.
“We work to understand and end discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, age, class, creed, religion, political affirmation, sexual orientation, gender identity, and physical, intellectual, or mental disability,” she said.
Allied Picnic Event Details: Saturday, September 7th, 2024, noon to 2 p.m. Sertoma Shelter @ McElroy Park, Jamestown, N.D. Freewill donation.
Activities include: hot dogs, picnic salads and treats, fun games and activities for all ages, live music, information booths from local organizations, and speakers to be determined.
