VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – McCarthy Hall will become the new home for Valley City State University’s nationally recognized School of Education and Technology and STEM Education. In July, the university held a ceremony to mark the start of the transformational work on the historic building.

VCSU President Dr. Alan LaFave talked about a discovery on the third floor that if all goes well, they plan to repurpose.

The $13.5 million project was possible also through the generous support of donors of up to $2 million raised locally with $11.5 million allocated by the North Dakota Legislature.

Meanwhile, President LaFave said preliminary enrollment numbers for the upcoming fall semester are looking favorable once again for the university.

The first day of classes start Tuesday, August 27th for VCSU students.
