CARRINGTON- After an offseason of anticipation, the Carrington Cardinals left no doubt in dismantling the Southern McLean Roughriders 34-0 on Friday night at a jam-packed Cardinal Stadium.
The Cardinals won the toss and chose to receive and on the seventh play of the drive, Josh Bickett found his cousin, Ryder Bickett on 3rd-and-8 for a 38-yard touchdown and a 6-0 lead. After a punt, it was rinse and repeat for Carrington as Josh found Ryder, who finished with three catches for 132 yards and three touchdowns, for a 69-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 12-0. Then in the second, Josh tossed a 25-yard touchdown to Ryder with pressure in his face for a 20-0 lead.
Bickett added a touchdown pass to Tate Wolsky and a 2-yard QB plunge for his fifth touchdown of the game. He finished 11/12 for 250 yards, four passing touchdowns, and added 70 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
Carrington will hit the road for the first time in 2024 on Friday, August 30th, at the Beulah Miners, who fell to Bottineau 43-6 in their opener. Coverage begins at 6:30 PM on KDAK The Cardinal.
