JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) –  Jamestown Public Schools opened the 2024-25 school year with a total enrollment of 2,033 students across all grade levels, according to figures released by the district. The numbers reflect a slight decrease from the previous year when 2,080 students were enrolled.

The district’s middle school, serving grades 6-8, enrolled 468 students this year, down from 486 during the 2023-24 academic year. Meanwhile, the high school saw a slight decline, with 738 students enrolled compared to 767 last year.

At the elementary level, total enrollment remained unchanged at 827 students, matching the previous year’s figures. However, individual schools showed some shifts. Gussner Elementary saw a slight increase in enrollment, rising to 222 students from 220 last year. Roosevelt Elementary also experienced growth, with 219 students enrolled compared to 204 in the prior year.

In contrast, Lincoln Elementary saw a decline, dropping from 199 students last year to 178 this year. Louis L’Amour Elementary increased its enrollment to 110 from 104, while Washington Elementary saw a slight decrease, enrolling 98 students compared to 100 last year.
