JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has opened a new Well-being Room to enhance employee wellness and job satisfaction. The space, completed on Aug. 5, 2024, was developed in response to feedback from staff and reflects JRMC’s commitment to creating a supportive work environment.
A media release states that the Well-being Room, made possible by the JRMC Foundation and the JRMC Well-being Committee, offers a tranquil retreat for employees. The room features amenities such as a massage chair, soft lighting, gentle airflow, and a yoga mat designed to promote relaxation and mindfulness.
“We are thrilled to offer our new Well-being Room, providing comfort and much-deserved space for relaxation and rejuvenation,” said JRMC Foundation Director Tonya Perkins in a statement.
JRMC Chief Nursing Officer Trisha Jungels emphasized the importance of supporting staff well-being, noting that investing in employee health ultimately benefits both patients and the community.
The Well-being Room is part of JRMC’s broader efforts to foster a positive workplace culture. With seven Best Places to Work awards, the medical center continues to prioritize employee satisfaction and well-being.
Employees are encouraged to use the space during breaks to recharge and reduce stress. The JRMC Well-being Committee, which led the project, aims to elevate employee satisfaction and create a healthier workplace through ongoing wellness initiatives.
