Paul T. Langemo, age 95, of Valley City, ND, formerly of Jamestown, ND, died Sunday,
August 18 th at SMP Health-St. Raphael in Valley City. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM
Monday, August 26 th at the Lerud Mathias Funeral Home Chapel in Valley City. Visitation will
be held one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodbine

Paul Trygve Langemo was born on October 7 th ,1928 in McVille, ND to Peter A. and Olga
(Stenseth) Langemo. He with parents later moved to a farm across the road from his father’s
birthplace where he attended his early school years at a one room schoolhouse located on their
farm. He then finished his schooling at Nome, ND. At the age of 17, he enlisted in the US Army
where he served at a US Army base in Japan during World War II. After returning to the US, he
attended the Wahpeton trade school where he later worked as a mechanic. While he was there, he
met his wife, Norma Borgen. After marriage, Paul and his wife worked on the railroad crew for a
short time and then later purchased a farm in the Fingal-Nome area. They had a large round red
barn which was a landmark for all to give directions by. It was on this farm where they raised
their five children. They later moved to Valley City, ND.
He is survived by his children Barbara (Andy) McCants of Mantee, MS, Gene of Valley
City, ND, Annette (Myron) Buechler of Wahpeton, ND; several grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 2 sons, Daniel and Larry Langemo,
and several grandchildren.
