VALLEY CITY, N.D. (VCPS) – Valley City Public Schools will be implementing two new programs this school year beginning on the first day of school, Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
Superintendent Josh Johnson said if you are interested in busing or dropping your students off at school before 8:00 AM, please keep reading below.

Busing Services for k-12 students will be provided by the school district. If you haven’t registered for busing (in-town, out-of-town, or the ‘free’ shuttle between schools) and would like your student(s) to ride on the first day of school, please make sure that you sign up today prior to 12:00 PM.  Thank you to those of you that have signed up for busing, an email will be sent to you on Monday with specific information about your student’s pick-up/drop-off times and locations.  This is a new program for us, we appreciate your patience and understanding in advance, our staff is working hard very hard to finish busing plans for the first day of school.
A new Before School Program has been created for Jefferson and Washington Elementary that will allow us to open our school doors at 7:30 AM for students that are registered for this program. A grant has provided us with this opportunity and more specific information will be forthcoming from our elementary principals, Mrs. Goven and Mr. Lueck.  To drop off your student prior to 8:00 AM, you will need to register for this program.  There will be a small fee to be in this program per the grant.  Please look for registration and details regarding this program.  VCHS will open doors at 7:30 AM; however, students will be required to be in the cafeteria prior to 8:00 AM.
Thank you, again, for your understanding that both of these programs are new for us in the school district, and we will be providing you with information as we finalize our plans and prepare for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 21st.
