VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – In an exciting development for the upcoming school year, the VCPS Athletic Booster Club voted to cover the athletic gate admission for all Valley City Public Schools (VCPS) K-12 students during the 2024-2025 school year.

Activities Director Rob Hunt said this initiative is part of the club’s ongoing commitment to promoting student involvement in school athletics and enhancing the overall athletic experience. Key Details of the Initiative are below:

1. K-6 Students Must Be Accompanied by an Adult: To ensure the safety and supervision of younger students, all K-6 students attending events must be accompanied by an adult. This policy helps foster a secure and family-friendly environment at all school functions.

2. Exclusions: The initiative does not include admission to the following VCHS tournaments:

– Volleyball Hi-Liner Classic on September 14th

– Wrestling Holiday Tournament on December 20th and 21st

– Basketball Holiday Shootout on December 27th, 28th, and 29th

3. Student Athletic Passes: Student athletic passes were created for all Valley City community k-12 students including: VCPS, St. Catherine’s, and home school students. This identification will be required for students to gain free admission to events. Athletic passes can be picked up by students at the Jr/Sr high school North and South offices, Washington school office, Jefferson school Office, and St. Catherine’s school office. The athletic passes were ordered today and are set for delivery the first week in September. We will send out notification when the passes arrive and are ready for students to pick up.
This initiative reflects the Athletic Booster Club’s dedication to the students and the broader school community. By fostering a supportive environment, the club aims to enrich the students’ school experience and encourage their participation in various athletic activities.
