JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Victory Christian School in Jamestown is set to receive funds from the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corporation (JSDC).

The funding will be used to support the school’s childcare program expansion.

The city of Jamestown will contribute $8,000, with Stutsman County providing the remaining $2,000. The funds will assist in the school’s construction of an addition that will create more space for child care and support plans to establish a high school.

According to JSDC guidelines, the funding operates as a 1-to-1 matching program, with a maximum of $10,000 in matching funds available.

JSDC’s terms and conditions require the project to be a licensed childcare facility or in the process of obtaining state licensure. Recipients of the funds must maintain operations for at least two years from the application date, or they will be required to return a prorated portion of the grant.

The program also stipulates that new and existing providers who receive startup assistance through JSDC will not be able to get any other programming assistance. The loan is interest free and can be forgiven over two years, contingent on the project’s completion.
