VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Heavy downpours in a short period of time continue to create problems for businesses located on a frontage road west of the Loves truck stop in Valley City.

Layne Glines of Health Food Ingredients known as HFI, addressed the issue during a city commission meeting on Tuesday, August 6th.

Glines said officials with Western Area Power Association said they may have to move their nearby power-line due to repeated washouts from torrential rain showers and bill HFI for the cost.

The city of Valley city will take the concerns of HFI under advisement. No action was taken by the city commission following Glines presentation on Tuesday. A portion of the presentation is below.
