VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City firefighters responded to a call for service on Tuesday, August 6th around 3:42pm.

Fire Chief Scott Magnuson said food material burned in a toaster oven and caused smoke to fill a housing unit on the corner of 12th Street Northwest and Central Avenue North in Valley City.

Magnuson said fire crew members used fans to air out the housing unit. No injuries or damage was reported at the housing complex in Valley City.
