LAMOURE- The 2024 Class B Legion Baseball State Tournament began Friday at Townsend Field in LaMoure.
Game One: Lisbon 4 Cando 1
Wyatt Olson pitched into the sixth and a three-run first inning held up as Lisbon Post 7 got the better of Cando Post 79 by a 4-1 count. Olson tossed 5 2/3 innings, allowing just four hits and one run while walking two and striking out nine. Jayden Bittner and Blaze Reinke had a hit and run scored in the first.
Game Two: Park River 2 Carrington 1
A walk-off single by Everett Fedje in the last of the seventh lifted the Pirates to a 2-1 win over Post 25. Carrington tied the game with two outs in the top of the seventh on a Josh Bickett single. Tucker Omdahl tossed all seven innings, allowing just three hits and striking out ten in the win.
Game Three: Burlington 10 Hazen 3
Braden Nelson went 4-for-5 with three doubles, including two three-run two-baggers, two runs scored and a single, as Burlington broke open a close game over the final three innings to advance to a 1-0 game on Saturday.
Game Four: LaMoure 3 Thompson 1
A three-run fourth inning and a masterpiece by Max Musland lifted the hosts to a 3-1 win over the defending champs. Musland allowed only four hits and a run while punching out five.
