JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has arrested a local man following an investigation into allegations of sex crimes involving juvenile victims.

The investigation began on July 14. On the morning of July 31, police executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence, seizing evidence related to the reported crimes.

Mark R. Windish, 59, of Jamestown, was taken into custody on suspicion of Gross Sexual Imposition, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, and Patronizing a Minor for Commercial Sex Activity.

Windish is currently being held at the Stutsman County Correctional Center, awaiting formal charges from the Stutsman County State’s Attorney.
