WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO) – Two Wahpeton men are charged with sexually trafficking a 16-year-old girl in Wahpeton.
According to court documents, Javier Martinez brought the girl to the home of Antonio Harris where Harris held the girl and repeatedly raped her over a two-week period. Investigators say Martinez brought the girl to Harris’s home knowing he would force her to have sexual relations. Martinez is also accused of bringing the girl to Harris in order to pay off a debt or gather information on Harris for Martinez.
The girl told investigators that while she was held captive, Harris would rip her clothes off and she would sometimes bleed after he raped her. The girl was able to escape after about two weeks. Martinez and Harris were arrested Thursday, July 25.
Harris is charged with human trafficking of a minor for sex, gross sexual imposition, and restraining a child for involuntary servitude.
Martinez is charged with human trafficking of a minor for sex, and conspiracy to force a sex act.
