CARRINGTON—The 2024 Class B 13-15 Babe Ruth State Tournament determined one of its championship round teams and pared the field down to three teams Sunday in Carrington.

Elimination Game: Park River 6, Hatton-Northwood 5

Noah Troftgruben delivered a winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to give defending state champion Park River a comeback win.  Owen Wilson tied the game the batter before Troftgruben with an RBI single for the Pirates, who came from a 5-3 deficit with a run in the sixth and two in the seventh.  Troftgruben drove in two runs.
Aksel Johnson hit a two-run single for Hatton-Northwood.

Elimination Game: LaMoure 24, Burlington 18

LaMoure twice had 13-run leads, yet Burlington rallied to make the game competitive in the late innings.  Jayden Paul was three-for-five with four RBI for LaMoure.  Colby Thielges had three hits and three RBI.
Owen Hanson was four-for-six with six RBI for Burlington.

2-0 Game: Kindred 11, Beulah 1

Kindred never let Beulah get back into the game after the Twister pulled themselves within a run after the third inning. From the fourth inning onward, the Vikings scored nine unanswered runs.

Elimination Game: LaMoure 7, Park River 4

LaMoure rushed out to a quick 5-0 lead after pushing across three runs in the top of the third inning. Park River would answer with a run of their own, but LaMoure would push across two more in the fourth to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
Park River kept chipping away, going into the bottom of the seventh trailing 7-4. But Logan Potts slammed the door, setting down Park River in order to eliminate the defending state champions.
