Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The District 7 Legion Baseball Tournament entered into Championship Thursday with the final loser out game and the championship game. Games can be heard on KDDR The Tornado. Results posted below as games go final.

Since LaMoure is hosting the State Tournament and is already in the Championship game the winner of Game 13 will go to the State Tournament

Game 13 (Loser Out/Winner to State) – #1 Lisbon 12 – 2 Edgeley – 6 inn

Lisbon punched their to the State Tournament beating Edgeley in 6 innings. The game started out well for Edgeley as they’d score 1 run on 2 hits to start in the 1st however Lisbon would tie it immediately in their half of the 1st off of 2 hits as well. Lisbon would then score 2 more runs in the 3rd off of 2 hits to take a 3-1 lead. Edgeley would pull a run back in the 5th scoring on 2 hits to make it 3-2. Lisbon would then blow it open in the bottom of the 5th scoring 6 runs on 2 hits and an error to take a 9-2 lead. They’d score 3 more in the 6th to win 12-2

The winning pitcher was Wyatt Olson who went 6 innings giving up 8 hits, 1 walk, and 2 runs while striking out 5.

Lisbon advances to both the District 7 Championship for the 2nd straight year and advances to the State Tournament with the win.

Game 14 (District 7 Championship) – #3 LaMoure 4-5 #1 Lisbon

Lisbon forces a 2nd game in the championship by beating LaMoure 5-4. This they did off the back of a 3 run 3rd inning off of 5 hits, a home run from Blaze Reinke in the 5th and a sac fly in the 7th. LaMoure would try to come back late in the game but stranded the tying run at 1st to end the ball game.

The winning pitcher was Kashden Wadeson who pitched a complete game.

They will both play again tomorrow in a winner take all game at 4:30 pm.
