
NEW ROCKFORD- A powerful storm put a stop to the second game of the District IV Tournament with top-seed Carrington and four-seed Sheyenne-New Rockford tied 1-1 in the fifth inning.
Easton Simon laced an RBI single to right field in the second to give the Black Sox a 1-0 lead before Grady Shipman blooped a double to left to tie the game in the third.
When the game is resumed, Sheyenne-New Rockford will have a runner at first with one out and a 3-2 count against a new pitcher
Officials will meet at 10am Tuesday to discuss whether the tournament will continue later on Tuesday or be postponed.
The winner will face Linton-Ashley-Wishek in a semifinal after the Rattlers defeated Kidder County 9-4 in the tournament opener.
