LaMoure 9 – Edgeley 3

LaMoure was able to capitalize on Edgeley’s early mistakes in the field as they rode the arm of Colby Theilges to jump out to an early lead. Edgeley would score one run of Theilges in each of the first three innings but couldn’t put up that elusive crooked number to even up the game. Heading into the top of the seventh, LaMoure held a 4-3 lead. The mistakes would again catch up to Edgley as multiple fielding errors paved the way for a 5-run top of the 7th, stapling LaMoure to a 9-3 lead. Easton Theilges would pick up the final four outs of the game in relief as LaMoure moves to the championship game at 2:00 PM Sunday.

Gwinner 11 – Lisbon 10

Gwinner raced out to an early 5-0 lead behind solid pitching and timely hitting. But erratic command from the Gwinner pitching staff would allow Lisbon to rally back and hang around. With the game entering the final inning, Lisbon was trailing 9-7 in the top of the frame. Lisbon, though, would rally to tie the game before a balk brought in the go-ahead run, giving Lisbon the 10-9 lead. Gwinner, however, would load the bases, setting the stage for Braxton Erickson, who laced a double down the leftfield line to seal the walk-off win.

Edgeley 12 – Gwinner 2

After Gwinner pulled within a run after the top of the second, Edgeley rattled off nine unanswered runs to pick up the win, Edgeley jumped on the depleted Gwinner Pitching staff early, often striking for three runs in four separate innings. Edgeley will rematch with LaMoure tomorrow at 2:00 PM in the Championship round, where they’ll have to defeat LaMoure twice to advance to state. That game can be heard on 1220 AM/ 100.3 FM KDDR.
