Edgeley, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The District 6 Babe Ruth Tournament began in Edgeley on July 18th. All LaMoure, Lisbon, and Edgeley games can be heard on KDDR The Tornado. Below are the results.

Game 1 – #4 Kidder County 9-6 #3 Linton-Ashley-Wishek 

Game 2 – #2 LaMoure 5-1 #7 Enderlin

LaMoure beat Enderlin to advance in the winners bracket by a score of 5-1. LaMoure would get a run in the 2nd, 2 in the 4th, and two more in the 5th and 6th respectively.

They’d be backstopped by a very efficient outing by Easton Thielges who would throw 7 innings giving up 5 hits, 2 walks and 2 runs while striking out 2 and only throwing 69 pitches.

LaMoure will now play Lisbon while Enderlin plays later tonight against Gwinner.

Game 3 – #3 Lisbon 10-2 #6 Gwinner 

Lisbon punched their ticket to the next round with a commanding victory over Gwinner winning 10-2. Lisbon would score 2 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 4th, 4 in the 5th, and 1 in the 6th. Gwinner would score their runs in the 2nd and 7th.

Lisbon was led by Sully Kelsen who went 1/2 on the night with 3 RBI’s and 2 runs. The winning pitcher was Greyson Lyons who went 2.1 IP giving up 1 hit, 1 walk and 1 run while striking out 5.

Lisbon will play LaMoure in Game 2 tomorrow while Gwinner goes to a loser out game later tonight.

Game 4 – #1 Edgeley 11-0 #8 Ellendale – 5 inn

Edgeley proved why they’re the #1 seed by beating Ellendale in 5 innings by a score of 11-0. Edgeley would score 2 runs in the 1st, 1 in the 2nd, 5 in the 3rd and 3 in the 4th to get the 11-0 victory.

The winning pitcher was Ross Fredenburg who went 5 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 5 in an efficient outing only throwing 52 pitches.

Edgeley now plays against Kidder County tomorrow in the 3rd game of the day while Ellendale plays in a loser out game at 10:00 am against L-A-W.
