VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hallelu, the “Peter, Paul & Mary” cover band are here from Japan. Hallelu, (means “Good Day” in Japan) will be entertaining us Wednesday, July 17 at the City Park Bandshell starting at 7:15 pm. The performance is free and open to the public.

Hallelu is the most renown “Peter, Paul, & Mary” cover group in Japan. Composed of members Masa Tsuzuki as Paul, Kyoko Tsuzuki as Mary, and Masataka Arakane as Peter. They will sing all of the major PPM hits.

This is their first trip to America, and they are very excited to be here and sing and play for you. Local artist, Greg Hager, who will be making his fifth concert tour to Japan in October, and has shared the stage with Hallelu many times in Japan. He is proud to present them to his hometown. They play just like the original artists, and sing and sound very similar.

Valley City singer songwriter Greg Hager and his wife Andrea, who does harmony vocals entertained athletes during the 2021 Summer Olympics in Japan. He and his wife, have been asked to return to Japan this October. He talked about that return visit and the friendships they now have in Japan along with the beautiful music of Hallelu in the interview below.
