JAMESTOWN- Grady Shipman, Hudson Schmitz and Owen Hagel each had two hits and Carrington erased a 4-0 deficit to beat the Jamestown Eagles 5-4 in pool play at the Phil Brown Classic on Friday night.

The Eagles got four runs in the second inning for a 4-0 lead as the team collected seven hits in the first two innings, knocking out Post 25 starter Hudson Schmitz.

But Josh Bickett tossed five innings of one-hit, shutout ball and Shipman and Hagel had a single and a double as Carrington (10-2) got a run in the fourth, three in the sixth, and the decisive run in the seventh.  Jamestown (6-11) went in order in the home seventh.

Jamestown will face Cando at 11am Saturday and Elmwood at 7pm Saturday in pool play.

Carrington can advance to the Phil Brown Classic championship game with a win over Elmwood on Saturday at 3pm
