VALLEY CITY, N.D. – Get ready for a splash of excitement at Sheyenne RiverFest 2024, the area’s largest water festival! This year promises to be bigger and better than ever, offering a day filled with adventure, fun, and community spirit along the beautiful Sheyenne River.
Start your day at the National Fish Hatchery in Valley City, where registration begins at 8:30 AM Saturday, August 3rd. At 10:00 AM, approximately 200 other watercraft enthusiasts will launch into the serene waters of the Sheyenne River for a scenic float. This picturesque journey will lead you to Chautauqua Park, where a host of festivities awaits.
At Chautauqua Park, you’ll be greeted by a lively atmosphere featuring delicious food and a vibrant craft and vendor show with over 25 businesses already registered. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore unique crafts, indulge in tasty treats, and enjoy a day of fun activities with family and friends.
To add to the excitement, we’ll be hosting a raffle with amazing prizes up for grabs, including kayaks, a grill, a three-piece patio set, gift cards, and more! Register before July 29th, 2024, and you’ll receive a free raffle ticket, giving you an extra chance to win these fantastic prizes.
But Sheyenne Riverfest 2024 is more than just a day of fun. This event supports the development of the Sheyenne River Water Trail, which aims to become the state’s only nationally recognized water trail. Proceeds will help enhance the trail with better signage, new landings equipped with bathrooms and camping facilities, and accessible docking systems for people of all ages and skill levels.

• Household Registration: $50 (up to 6 individuals, max 2 adults)

Drop off your kayak at the National Fish Hatchery, park at Chautauqua Park, and then take the shuttle back to the launch point. This way, your vehicle will be ready for you at the end of the float.
