Enderlin, ND (NewsDakota.com) – Oakes Post 36 rode a gem of a game from Max Walock to a solid 8-0 victory over Enderlin on Monday July 1st.
The game started with Oakes scoring 2 runs in the first 2 innings one of which was unearned. Enderlin, meanwhile wouldn’t get a hit till the 4th inning however that’d be the only baserunner that inning.
Oakes would strike again in the 6th scoring 2 runs on 1 hit and an error. They would tack on 4 more unearned runs in the 7th off of 2 hits and 4 errors. Oakes would take the win 8-0.
The winning pitcher was Max Walock who pitched a complete game allowing only 2 hits and 5 walks while striking out 13 for his complete game shutout. Jacob Cimbura got the loss going 5.2 IP allowing 5 hits, 5 walks, and 4 runs of which 2 were earned. Cimbura would strike out 8 on the game.
