VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Fireworks can be purchased in North Dakota now through July 5th.

Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson says everyone should exercise caution setting off fireworks and make sure there’s adult supervision for children using fireworks.

He also had a few fire prevention safety tips.

Magnuson said under the city ordinance, fireworks can be discharged July 1st through July 5th in Valley City.

Fireworks enthusiasts need to stop setting off fireworks by 11pm every evening except for July 4th … when they can be discharged them until 1am July 4th only. The full interview is below.
