BISMARCK, ND – The North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 11, 2024, regarding proposed amendments to a permit to construct a wind farm and associated facilities in Logan and McIntosh Counties.

Badger Wind, LLC, is requesting an amendment to their siting permit for the Badger Wind Project. The project was granted a permit from the Commission in Nov. 2022. Since then, Badger Wind has made changes to the project, including expanding the project boundary and design modifications. The project would now be located within an approximately 34,897-acre project area (compared to the 31,467-acre area previously approved). The project would also now use a 2.82 megawatt turbine (rather than a 3.4 megawatt turbine) with up to 93 turbines being built (previously 74). Estimated cost of the project is $472 million.

The project would be located in Logan and McIntosh Counties, adjacent to the western and northern sides of Wishek, N.D. (Note to the media: A map showing the proposed location of the project has been provided to you for use with any announcements/stories you print.)
