CARRINGTON- Kyle Johnson delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, scoring Jack Erickson and lifting Carrington to a thrilling 9-8 win over Kidder County on Friday at Bank Forward Park.

After falling behind 3-0 in the first, Post 25 responded with two in the bottom half and four in the second, including a three-run double by Owen Hagel, who finished with four RBI, for a 6-3 lead.  From there, the chase was on for the Wolves, who scored twice in the fourth and fifth before tying the game at 8 in the sixth.

But in the seventh, Erickson was hit by a pitch for the fourth time in the game, Grady Shipman singled, and after Hagel was intentionally walked, Johnson laced a single to left on an 0-2 pitch for the game-winner.

Carrington returns to action Monday at home against Devils Lake with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 4:45pm
