Maynard Martin Henricks, 88, Valley City, North Dakota, formerly Tower City, North Dakota passed away Friday June 22, 2024, at SMP-Health St. Raphael, Valley City.

The funeral service will be 10:30 am, Thursday, June 27 at Grace Free Lutheran Church, Valley City.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church.  The burial will be in Memory Gardens, Valley City.

Maynard Martin Henricks was born August 5, 1935, in Fargo, North Dakota to Martin and Dorothy (Huether) Henricks.  After graduating from Elliott, North Dakota High School in 1954 he farmed with his father near Tower City.  He was united in marriage to Alice Johnson on October 1, 1961, in Braddock, ND at her home. They continued to farm until retiring in 1997. Alice died October 2000.  Maynard lived on the farm until September 2021 when he became a resident of SMP Health – St. Raphael.

He is survived by his sons Kevin, Tower City, Lynnelle, Tower City, Marvin, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; his foster daughters Amy (Tim) Stott, Fargo, Marsha (Nathan) Sayler, Valley City; sister-in-law Anna Mae Henricks, Lisbon, North Dakota and brother-in-law Melvin Johnson, Linton, North Dakota.

Maynard was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Henry and sister Anne Lanter.
