pie-social-2024-2

VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Once again, the annual Pie & Ice Cream Social Fundraiser held on the library lawn was a huge success! Traditionally held during Community Days, the pie & ice cream social took place on Saturday, June 15.

With donations of 45 pies, there was a wonderful variety of flavors to choose from and at the end of the day, nearly every pie was gone. The proceeds from this year’s fundraiser totaled $1,321 and will be given to the VCBC Library Foundation for the restoration and roofing project that is already in progress.

Many thanks to the dedicated volunteers that helped set up and serve, like Madeline Luke and Gary Krapu for organizing and donating supplies, to all of the wonderful people that donated pies, and to Leevers for donating the ice cream.

It was a warm and windy day, yet the pie was awesome, and many enjoyed viewing the restoration scrapbook and visiting about the history of our 1903 Carnegie Library building and its future. Your support for this fundraiser is greatly appreciated.
