MEDORA, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Claire Graner was named Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2025 during the annual pageant Saturday, June 15th in Medora.

The 23-year-old from Huff, North Dakota grew up on a grain and cattle ranch near Mandan, North Dakota and was a two-time national qualifier in pole bending. She also competed in barrel racing on the NDSU rodeo team. She graduated with a degree in journalism in December of 2023. Graner is now the Miss Rodeo North Dakota 2025 Lady in Waiting. Graner will take over for current Miss Rodeo North Dakota Grace Stanke in January of 2025.

Claire Graner talked about the excitement of being selected and her mission platform.

Claire’s career goal is to leverage the expertise she is gaining at Gold Buckle Tack to establish her own digital marketing firm. She intends to focus on providing marketing solutions for local businesses in North Dakota.

Miss Rodeo National Director Codi Miller encourages others to join their organization to help promote our western heritage, while creating cowgirls with character and helping young women achieve their personal and professional goals.

Codi Miller talked about the excitement behind this year’s 70th annual Miss Rodeo North Dakota Pageant. She said former Miss Rodeo North Dakota 1964, Bonita (Bohnsack) Laske was also a 2024 honoree into the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame’s Leaders of Ranching and Rodeo category.

Miller talked about the importance of giving cowgirls the confidence to compete in pageants and how that benefits young woman as they discover their passion and choose a career to enhance their lives and their community.
