ADVISORY VOTE ON QUESTION REGARDING REPEAL OF PROHIBITION ON THE SALE OF FLAVORED E-LIQUIDS AND E-CIGARETTES

The Board of City Commissioners of the City of Valley City submits the following question for an advisory vote pursuant to its Home Rule Charter, to consider whether to repeal subsection 4 of section 8-04-05 of the Valley City Municipal Code, which prohibits the sale and dispensing of flavored e-cigarettes, flavored e-liquids, and other flavored components and materials involved in the use or consumption of e-cigarettes.

A repeal would be approved by the Board of City Commissioners after considering the advisory vote, by and through two readings of an ordinance as published in the Valley City Times Record on May 29, 2024.

QUESTION: Shall the Board of City Commissioners of the City of Valley City adopt the ordinance described above repealing language in the Valley City Municipal Code which prohibits the sale and dispensing of flavored e-cigarettes, flavored e-liquids, and other flavored components and materials involved in the use or consumption of e- cigarettes.

YES – Means that you approve of the repeal of subsection 4, thereby allowing for the sale and dispensing of flavored e-cigarettes and e-liquids in the City of Valley City.
