JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Robert Toso will join the Jamestown City Council following his victory in the recent election. Toso secured a four-year term, topping the vote count with 1,215 votes in unofficial results released Tuesday night.

Incumbents Brian Kamlitz and David Schloegel were also reelected, securing their second terms with 1,177 and 1,189 votes, respectively. Toso’s win came at the expense of Pamela Phillips, who garnered 847 votes.

The election took place a day after the passing of Councilman Dan Buchanan at age 86. Buchanan, who did not seek reelection, passed away on Monday, June 10.
