LUDDEN, N.D. (NDHP) – A 61-year-old Oakes man was seriously injuried after the motorcycle he was driving struck a deer on Highway 1 about 3 miles southwest of Ludden in Dickey County Friday, June 7th around 2:35pm.

The Highway Patrol said Anthony Moser was northbound on Highway 1 near MM 3.5 when he encountered a deer crossing the roadway. Moser struck the deer with his 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle. After striking the deer, Moser was separated from the motorcycle and came to rest in the roadway. The motorcycle came to rest on the southbound shoulder with the deer attached to the motorcycle.

Moser was transported to the Oakes Hospital by the Oakes Ambulance, then Sanford Life Flight transported Moser to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. Moser suffered serious injuries in the crash.
