Game One: Edgley 12 – 0 Jamestown

Edgley scored in nearly every inning of their twelve-inning affair, with Jamestown only mustering their one-two hit of the ballgame in the final inning.

Game Two: Carrington 7 – 1 Minot

The Redbirds took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, riding a dominant pitching performance by Grady Shipman, who tossed 6.1 innings of one-run ball while striking out ten Minot batters. The Metros committed three errors on the day, resulting in five Redbird runs coming around and scoring.

Game Three: Grafton 7 – 2 Renville County

The Grafton Spoilers managed to run away late against Renville County scoring five of their seven runs in the final two innings. Both teams will be looking to have better game defensively next time around with both sides combining for ten errors in the ballgame.

Game Four: Park River 7 – 2 Valley City

A series of unforced errors allowed the Pirates to stake themselves to an early advantage, with a two-run blast by Park River’s Noah Troftgruben putting the topper on a first round win by the Pirates. The initial problems for Valley City started in the fourth inning after a failed turned double play allowed two runs to come across and resulted in Gavin Gerhardt getting chased from the game after four innings pitched. The lone runs for Valley City came in the sixth after aggressive baserunning saw both Gerhardt and Corbyn Powell come around to score off a stolen base and passed ball.
