Valley City High School’s first state tennis championship since 1971 will be celebrated with a community celebration at the Eagles Club on Thursday, June 13th, at 6:00 p.m.

After a regular season of relentless dedication and hard work, the Hi-Liners marched to an undefeated EDC regular season tile. They defeated the West Fargo Sheyenne Mustangs in the EDC Tournament Championship, capping off a flawless EDC season. The state tournament saw the Hi-Liners triumph over both Bismarck Century and Bismarck Legacy, before squaring off against the undefeated defending state champions in Minot. A late rally in doubles play, and 8th grader Skye Neilson’s singles victory would cement Valley City’s banner season and secure the state title.

The event will be a free-will donation taco bar for supper. All community members are invited to celebrate with us. A short program will occur at approximately 6:45pm.
