VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  Challenging conditions with rain greeted golfers at the NDHSAA Class A golf championships at Kings Walk at Grand Forks Tuesday.

Andrew Tangen, the lone Hi-Liner to qualify for the state meet, fired a 93 on day one of the event.  Tangen will tee off at 9:23 AM Wednesday for his second round.

Carson Hannestad of Fargo North shot a -4 68 to take the lead individually.  Bismarck Century and Grand Forks Red River are tied in the team race at 311, one shot ahead of Fargo North.
