FARGO, N.D. (Air Museum) – The Fargo Air Museum is hosting their quarterly History Night Tuesday, June 4, 2024. History Night: Illustrating WWII features North Dakota artist Scott Nelson and his work based on historical accounts of veteran aviators in World War II. The event begins at 6:30pm followed by a social hour to allow guests to view Nelson’s work and ask questions. A $10 donation is requested, no pre-registration required. Museum members are invited to attend the event at no cost.

Nelson completed over a dozen large oil paintings and several smaller watercolors based on veteran interviews. Nelson plans to present some of these paintings while discussing their connections to WWII veterans such as Buck Cleven and Harry Crosby, two veterans with ties to North Dakota who were portrayed in the new Apple+ TV show Masters of the Air.
