JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay boys golf tied for its best finish of the season Wednesday, taking third place in the West Region tournament at Jamestown Country Club.

The Blue Jays shot 341, behind winner Century (320) and Minot North (327).  Hunter Gegelman tied for fourth individually with a 77.  Vaughn Romsdal and Jace Dillman each shot 86.  Luke LeFevre shot 92, Camron Andersen had a 98 and Nate Walz fired a 106.

This is the third time Jamestown has finished third in an event this season.

Jamestown qualifies for the NDHSAA Boys State Tournament, which will be held June 4-5 at Kings Walk Golf Course in Grand Forks.
