JAMESTOWN – Tyson Jorissen and Thomas Newman were named from the Jamestown Blue Jays to the 2024 All-WDA baseball team.

Jorissen, a senior catcher and infielder, was the Blue Jays’ leading hitter, batting .408 (29-for-71) with 10 doubles, 19 RBI, 16 runs scored and nine stolen bases.

Newman, a junior, was Jamestown’s best pitcher, with a 1.09 ERA in 32 innings.  He won two and lost two, striking out 42.  He struck out 10 in a win over Watford City on May 4 and had 12 strikeouts in a victory over St. Mary’s on May 11.  Newman also hit .304 with 10 RBI.
