FARGO, N.D. (NDHP) – Two people suffered injuries in a 2-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in the westbound lane near MM 351 around 10:50am on Sunday, May 26th, 2024.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) said the driver of the semi-truck 59-year-old Louis Guertin slowed for traffic. The driver of the Nissan 41-year-old Mary Salman of West Fargo was following behind the semi-truck, and rear ended the tanker trailer. Salman and her juvenile passenger were not wearing seat belts. Salman sustained serious injuries from the crash. The juvenile passenger sustained minor injuries. Both were transported by Sanford ambulance to Sanford Hospital. Guertin was not injured in the crash.

West bound traffic on Interstate 94 was reduced to one lane for approximately one hour while emergency responders provided aid and investigated the crash. The North Dakota Highway Patrol was assisted by the Fargo Police Department, Fargo Fire Department, and Sanford ambulance. The crash remains under investigation.
