VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The annual Sheyenne Valley Soap Box Derby will be held Saturday, June 1st on Central Avenue in Valley City.

The winners in the Super Stock and Stock division will earn the right to compete in the International Soap Box Derby in Akron, Ohio this July. There are age and weight limits and well as business sponsorship opportunities locally.

Those between the ages of 7 and 18 interested in being a part of this year’s race should call Scott Miller on 840-2417. Central Avenue in Valley City will be closed Saturday, June 1st from 8th Street to 4th Street for the Soap Box Derby. There’s no admission, just set up lawn chairs along Central Avenue and enjoy the race.
