Over the weekend many folks were mowing, picking-up and beautifying their properties. There are, however, numerous unkempt yards with grass much longer than allowed by City Ordinance. Will you please take pride in your properties and beautify them to the best of your ability?
Thank you to The League of Women’s Voters for facilitating the Barnes County Primary Election Forum last week. It was a refreshing event with candidates for Valley City School Board, Barnes County Commission, Valley City Park Board and Valley City Commission. My feeling is all candidates were respectful of the process and represented themselves well. Thank you all for “stepping up” and running for office.
Last week was “all hands on deck” for Valley City Employees as it was Clean-up Week. Everyone had to do a little extra to make it happen and especially all the folks picking up materials and those at the Transfer Station, the destination of most materials. That the clean-up was done with such time efficiency is amazing. Thank you for a great job everyone.
