Mary Beth Bertsch, 70, of Jamestown, ND, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 in Fargo, ND.

Mary Beth was born June 8, 1953, in Burleigh County, ND, the daughter of Theodore and Ida (Heinle) Miller. She was raised in Lehr, ND and graduated from Lehr High School in 1971, where she was a proud Leopard cheerleader. Mary Beth attended NDSU for a year, and then graduated in 1973 from St. John’s Academy as a certified X-ray technician. She was united in married to Karmen Bertsch on September 8, 1972. Mary Beth spent her career as an X-ray technician in Ashley, ND, Wishek, ND, and retired from the North Dakota State Hospital after 35 years. She was the matriarch of the family. Mary Beth enjoyed gardening, casinos, weekly card games with her close friends, baking, pickling, and spending time with her family. Her favorite thing in life the last few years was her grandchildren, whom she loved more than anything.

Mary Beth is survived by her husband, Karmen Bertsch; son, Joshua (Jessica) Bertsch; grandchildren, Sasha Bertsch and Deklan Bertsch; siblings, Phyllis Schweigert and Marvel Dalke; special brother & sister-in-law, Kelly & Dee Bertsch; sister & brother-in-law, Vicki & Roger Martin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted & Ida Miller; father & mother-in-law, Orvind & Violet Bertsch; brother, Steve Miller; and brother-in-law, Kenny.

Prayer Service – 3:30 p.m., Friday, May 24, 2024 at Eddy Funeral Home, Jamestown. A Celebration of Life will follow at Shady’s, Jamestown. No burial will take place at this time. Eddy Funeral Home.
