VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It’s spring and time to clean away debris from our roads and streets.
“The Adopt-A-Street program in Valley City is the perfect opportunity for everyone to jump in do just that, help make Valley City more beautiful.”
Sharon Buhr, chair of the Valley City Image and Beautification Committee says 14 terrific organizations have volunteered to keep designated areas of our city clean. But, there are two streets that need volunteers to sign up to keep them clean.
A sign recognizing your business or organization will be posted at each end of the route. The criteria includes picking up trash in the specific street and roadside you have volunteered to keep clean twice a year, spring and again in the fall. You must provide your own trash bags. Call Valley City Public Works to come by and pick up the bags of trash that you’ve collected.
To be an Adopt-A-Street volunteer contact Sharon Buhr at 701-840-0973 for more information.
